SUMMER CALLING…

As we are about to emerge ourselves into the midst of summer, here at Fashion Changing the World we understand the importance to those who like to keep up with the latest trends, and so we have put together 5 summer outfits that will help you to shop ethically. Looking at brands that focus on reducing our impact on the planet, our five summer outfits have been put together with sustainability and environmental impact in mind. Seeking outfits that are natural and organic, together we can help fight against mass production and unethical working conditions whilst still rocking the latest summer trends. Consider our outfit choices below which sport bold, blocky prints and folklore embroidery to help you wisely choose an outfit suitable for any of your summer antics!

Embrace the summer heat by sporting a casual off the shoulder top paired with some of Marimekko’s funky Pieni Kedias flared print trousers. Ensure you keep the rest of the outfit quite simple to avoid taking away focus from the print, we advise teaming with a pair of supersoft Lana Wedge Sandals in black, some gorgeous Turpentine Maisie Grey Studs to add a hint of accessorising and finish off with just a small pop of colour to compliment the trousers with this deep orange TINCT Aragosta Cross Body bag

This quirky summer outfit makes for the perfect seaside trip out. This sunny cropped tank top takes an entire day for artisans in Peru to artfully knit, so why not show off their expertise and team with some denim shorts in midwash from ASOS’s eco range, who in this instance are supporting eco farming and cotton produced in Africa. Finish off by adding some pops of colour with this quirky Pom Pom rucksack and these luxury vegan Cubic Angelica Wedges

Inject some traditional Folklore style into your wardrobe this summer with this gorgeous embroidered mini skirt by March 11.  An off the shoulder bandeau crop will compliment this outfit perfectly and we have found the perfect one from ASOS’s Eco Range. Finlay and Co’s Draycott Sunglasses in Tortoise will ensure you’re protected from the sun whilst this trendy Charlie Box bag in Orange will be the home for your summer essentials. Finish off the look with a pair of vegan embroidered Bee Slippers from Beyond Skin to keep your outfit comfy and casual.

This quirky, up-cycled range by Mia Nisbett is available to purchase as part of ASOS’s Eco Range. This diverse African printed fabric made available for co-ords for both a skirt and top will create the perfect outfit for a casual summer walk. Include a pair of Finlay and Co Wooden Beaumont Sunglasses alongside some classic Espadrille shoes with a sophisticated take. Finish off the look with this dramatic Fair Trade Bead Sun Sky Necklace featuring rows of opaque glass beads in sunshine yellow and sky blue.

We think that ASOS’s Made in Kenya range should be celebrated this summer for their charitable, innovative clothing which has been designed using the drawings from local primary schools in Kenya. This playful Ruffle Shift dress boasts a large floral print, the perfect garment to celebrate your final summer nights away. Team with a pair of Beyond Skin strappy heels in Black and add a subtle Envelope Clutch bag in Charcoal. Finish off the look with some of Anthropologies’ Wisteria Climber Earrings in Gold to add sophistication to your night time look.
